Easy Access to Luxury Sports Cars in the City
Classic Car Club opened an auxiliary NYC garage on the Upper East Side, where uptown members can turn the ignition on any one of the Manhattan chapter’s 50 cars. It also has a downtown location on Hudson, and a third in London. The car collection, accessible to members for an annual cost of $8,000 to $12,000, includes a range of prized autos: from a 1969 Ford Bronco to a 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo. Later this year, the club will add a 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia and a 2010 Mercedes SLS AMG, which will join a half-dozen other supercars in the club’s elite Carbon Fiber Collection. Membership fees cover access to a 24-hour lounge, club events like the Canadian Grand Prix rally, and even auto insurance. Speeding tickets, if issued, members must pay out of pocket.
